No Man’s Sky, the famous game from Hello Games, has been experiencing serious problems on Xbox Series S and X following the recent update.

Hello Games’ No Man’s Sky continues to crash on Xbox Series S and X

A problem I first noticed while playing “No Man’s Sky” last night: I open the game and when I approach a particular structure, the anomaly, the game crashes. The screen freezes, the audio continues for a while and then starts making an annoying noise, I can’t close the game, the entire console (I use the Xbox Series S) stops. After about 30 seconds, the game closes on its own.

This morning, the problem is more serious: I start the game and after 10 seconds, no matter what I do, the game stops working. Same problems as the other night, but this time regardless of what I do. I disabled multiplayer, tried changing the graphics (from high to low), but the problem persists.

I come to think that the problem is with my console, so I do a quick search on the internet. No website mentions it (this article was written for this reason, to clarify the situation and reassure those who have the same problem that it is not your problem but a game error), and Hello Games’ social media accounts do not mention this problem on Xbox, only saying that they have received bug reports from Steam (so it seems to be a common problem on other platforms).

On Reddit, I found many threads reporting the same issue: players on Xbox Series S and X are experiencing the exact same problem. The game freezes and locks up the entire console for almost 1 minute.

If you are experiencing the same issue, please report it immediately to Hello Games so they can fix it as soon as possible: https://hellogames.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
