Addison Ellis‑Otovo is emerging as one of the most promising young violists in the United States. Her dedication, artistry, and recent accomplishments have already placed her among the nation’s rising stars, and this fall she will begin an exciting new chapter in the Greater Boston Area, a region renowned for its rich history of performing arts and arts education.

Recent Accomplishments

Addison’s achievements reflect both her talent and her commitment to excellence. She is a National Symphony Orchestra Youth Fellow, a program that provides young musicians with mentorship and performance opportunities alongside professional artists. Earlier this year, she placed third in the American Viola Society Solo Competition (Junior Division), an honor recognized by the American Viola Society and highlighted by The Violin Channel.

Her training has also included participation in the Sphinx Performance Academy, which focuses on fostering diversity and excellence in classical music. Most recently, Addison was selected for NYO2 at Carnegie Hall, joining the orchestra roster of one of the most prestigious youth ensembles in the country.

A New Chapter at Walnut Hill

This fall, Addison will attend the Walnut Hill School for the Arts in Natick, Massachusetts, a distinguished institution with a long tradition of nurturing young artists (Walnut Hill School for the Arts). The Greater Boston Area offers a vibrant cultural landscape, from symphony halls to conservatories, making it an ideal environment for Addison to continue her artistic growth. She looks forward to immersing herself in this community, collaborating with peers, and preparing for future opportunities in higher education and professional performance.

Dreams and Public Support

Pursuing music education at this level requires significant resources, including tuition, instruments, travel, and competition expenses. Addison hopes to connect with private donors and supporters who share her passion for the arts. Public support will help her continue her journey and ensure she can represent young talent on national and international stages.
