Two years since your last musical engagements – you have now moved to Macau, China.
Two years ago I was releasing my unreleased song, “Andrea,” A song that was well received even if a bit quietly. An autobiographical song that came out just before I moved abroad to Macau. In 2024, I started studying on Erasmus at the University of Macau, China. Then the same year, after returning to Italy for three months, I came back here to move and change my residence.
In these two years I have not been absent from social media, I simply have not posted any new projects.
A month ago you posted a YouTube vlog in which you talked about the choice to go abroad. You denounced the Italian internship system.
It was not a video rant. I took the opportunity to denounce a problem that is mainly Italian: that of internships and traineeships. There are the unpaid internships that are real exploitation aimed at giving you “experience.” Then lodging and food I don’t know how they are paid… however, you get experience eh! There are also internships with expense reimbursement: 600 euros per month (but such a low amount doesn’t even allow you to pay rent at a moment’s notice).
Macau was a choice driven by love, friendships and affection for a city that immediately struck my heart. Then here, with no experience, I immediately found a full-time, well-paid contract that allows me to live decently.
Will you return to Italy?
I don’t hold a grudge against Italy but going back is not in the plans. I am building my life abroad and would like to stay there forever. I certainly want to explore new places in Asia. In Italy one day I will return as a tourist but not now, it’s soon.

Are you working on a new song?
In two years I have had so many experiences that it would be enough for a record full of songs but thinking about a new album is premature. Music goes fast, there is no point in coming out with an album if you are not already famous. I am working on a new song in English. I’m finalizing it these days. In May I will go to the studio, in Macau, to record it. The same month it should come out online.
Just a new song or other projects as well? Two years ago you were publishing your first book.
I am working on a new book but I am still in the beginning stages and, for sure, it will not come out until September.
Current political situation. What do you think about it?
I always read the news. I am not an obsessive looking for an update every minute but every day I try to keep up to date.
I don’t want to attack anyone but this growing nationalism is scary and stupid.
Today more than ever there is a need for love, for peace. Utopian talk? Probably. Trivial? Given how people think today, I would say no.
